Semi Automatic Tape Mounters, equipped with a pre-cutting unit, ensure high quality tape pre-cutting and mounting performance.
OKK's original tape cutting method enables substantial cost savings as it makes no waste between pre-cut pieces.
Cost reduction with no waste between pre-cut pieces
By using pre-cut tapes, there will be advantages
- Narrows the width of tape waste down to 1/4 of using rolled tapes.
- Frames will last long as not being damaged.
- No need to worry about particles while tapes being cut.
You may find it difficult to change from rolled tapes to precut tapes because of higher prices and the need to purchase a Tape Mounter.
Being able to pre-cut rolled tapes inside Tape Mounter will totally save pre-cutting costs.
There being no gap between pre-cut pieces, you will be able to take out much more pieces from a roll. It will be 40% cost saving at max compared to a regular method using a rolled tape with a conventional Tape Mounter. (Varies according to the amount of tape waste.)

Semi Automatic Tape Mounters attach a pre-cut tape (dicing tape, protection tape, or DAF) to a dicing frame, lead frame, wafer, or a package.
Need only to manually set a workpiece and press START button to start the automatic operation.
